Terndays

Private day-counting for people in motion

Your days, counted.
Your data, yours.

Terndays automatically counts the days you spend in every country — for Schengen 90/180, 183-day tax rules, and residence permits. It fills a beautiful map of where you've been, straight from your photos. Your location never leaves your phone.

Your email goes on the launch list and nowhere else. Privacy policy →

Counts for you

Know exactly where you stand before the border, the tax office, or your permit ever asks. Alerts before every limit.

A map worth sharing

Your visited countries, filled from your photo library in a minute — beautiful enough to post.

Private by design

The country is worked out on your phone; the coordinates are discarded. We can't see where you've been.

Why "Terndays"? The arctic tern flies 70,000 km a year, pole to pole — the greatest migrant on Earth, and it never overstays. That's the idea.

Trust & privacy

No account, no identity

The free app never needs to know who you are. No signup, no email, no profile required — forever.

Coordinates never leave your phone

Photos and GPS turn into a country name on your device, then the coordinates are discarded. There's no column in the database to store them in.

Days, not a trail

Terndays keeps whole days — for each date, just the countries you were in, so a border-crossing day counts for both sides. No minute-by-minute trail exists anywhere: not on your phone, not on any server.

Deleting is yours, always

Erasing everything is one tap in the free app — no account to close, no form to file, and no server copy to chase, because none exists.

Everything above holds on every plan: coordinates are never stored, anywhere, so there is no precise location to leak or subpoena — free or paid. Going Pro doesn't change the rules; it extends them to your other devices. Sync, arriving later, is being built so servers will only ever hold ciphertext, sealed on your phone before it leaves — and if you choose to hold the key yourself, sync becomes zero-knowledge: even we won't be able to read it, mathematically. The migration news center, arriving later with Pro, follows the same rule: which countries or keywords you watch is matched on your phone, never on our servers. Location analytics don't exist on any plan: no coordinates, no trails, nothing pseudonymized — the only aggregate stats that will ever exist are opt-in, anonymous, and computed on your phone. And the free app simply never needs a server at all.

Don't take our word for it. Turn on airplane mode — Terndays keeps working, map and photo scan included, because everything runs on your phone. Or turn on iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → App Privacy Report and use the free app for a day: Terndays shows no contacted domains, because the free app makes zero network calls.

We will never sell or adapt Terndays for use by immigration or tax authorities.
